A high profile, critical minerals mining company with a pioneering greenfields project in Central West NSW, currently seeks to appoint a Quarry Manager. With studies completed, funding well advanced and FID expected very soon, this is a unique opportunity to join a greenfields project for execution phase.

This newly created permanent opportunity will be responsible for:

  • Developing mining management systems
  • Implementing safety and operational procedures
  • Establishing reporting & governance frameworks
  • Selection, mobilisation and management of the mining contractor.
  • Integration of mining activities with the broader project schedule.
  • Stakeholder engagement with regulators, consultants, landowners.
  • Technical leadership and input into optimisation, budgeting, scheduling and LOM planning.

Operating on a residential basis in the Parkes District of NSW, this permanent opportunity will operate on a 5/2 Monday to Friday basis in the company's project office before later moving to site. Parkes and it's surrounding areas of Forbes, Dubbo and Orange, offers a family-friendly residential environment, with numerous schooling, recreational, medical and social amenities, while enjoying the temperate climate of Central West NSW. A lucrative remuneration package including short & long term incentives is provided, with relocation if required.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a tertiary qualified mining engineer with a proven background in Quarry Manager or open-pit production leadership. A certified practising Quarry Manager certification (NSW) is required, or eligibility for mutual recognition. Previous experience in metalliferous mining development projects, including the oversight of construction for tailings storage facilities and mine infrastructure will be greatly advantageous.
