Alex Beutler
Director & Talent Acquisition Specialist (Mining & Energy)
Alex is a recognised recruitment expert in professional and executive mining & energy appointments. He has a proven track record in the establishment of new enterprises, business development & account management, leadership and strategy.
His recruitment track record includes over ten years specialising in professional technical & executive mining appointments including countless executive, technical services and geology appointments across Australasia and internationally for expatriate assignments to over 30 different countries, successfully delivering in excess of 500 permanent and contract placements to date.
He commenced his career in Sydney with an international recruitment firm in 2005. After which, Alex successfully established and developed two professional & executive mining recruitment businesses, one in 2006 for CDI AndersElite (NYSE: CDI) and later in 2008 for Talent2 (ASX: TWO).
In 2011, Alex launched Rock People, providing specialist talent acquisition solutions for mining and energy. Rock People leverage extensive experience, networks and industry knowledge to seamlessly deliver tailored, optimised and cost effective hiring outcomes.
Alex’s typical assignments include executive leadership, business development, marketing, project development & project delivery, exploration geology & geosciences, mine geology, mining engineering, geotechnical engineering, drilling and operations management.
Alex holds a BBA (Hons) and BA (Psych) from Macquarie University. He is a member of the AusIMM and GSA. He is also a Regional Ambassador for the Institute of Recruiters (IOR; www.ior.org.uk).
Ricky Beutler
Talent Acquisition Specialist (Mining – Operations & Management)
Ricky is a specialist professional recruitment consultant with over 4 years technical experience. With a business development background in various account management positions for the engineering and professional services industries prior to his transition to recruitment, Ricky has developed a proven track-record in relationship management.
Having commenced his recruitment career with a leading international IT recruitment firm in Sydney, Ricky gained a strong foundation in professional technical recruitment. Ricky joined Rock People in late 2012 to continue his technical recruitment career within the mining sector under the guidance and mentoring of brother Alex. He has since placed many technical services, mine management and operations roles in Australia, Africa and South-East Asia.
Ricky specialises in Operations Management and Technical Services appointments across Australia, Indo-Pacific and Asian regions.
