A successful listed exploration company holding some of PNG's most promising greenfields tenements currently seeks a Senior Project Exploration Geologist to assist in the leadership and execution of PNG field programs.

Following recent sampling and initial drilling programs, a major drilling program is planned commencing in early 2021. Providing key leadership, you will be responsible for the successful planning and management of field programs including overseeing RC & diamond drilling, local staff, contractors, OHS, stakeholder engagement, QAQC, logging and interpretation, logistics and more.

This exciting expat opportunity is offered initially on a 12 month contract basis with the likelihood of contract extension or permanency and will operate on a FIFO basis from anywhere in Australasia on a negotiable roster (approx 2-3 months on due to COVID restrictions before returning to a more attractive short expat rotation). A lucrative remuneration package is offered circa AU$175-180K gross plus incentives.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a tertiary qualified geologist with a strong and successful track record (e.g. 5+ years post-graduate experience) in greenfields precious metals projects, preferably in PNG or the Indo-pacific region. Demonstrated proficiency in the leadership of large teams, operating in challenging terrain and developing countries are essential.
