A respected international mining group currently seeks a Senior Planning Engineer for a newly created group technical services role in Central Asia. This role will be responsible for long-term planning, design, due diligence, technical governance & mentoring for a number of world-class underground hardrock operations.

This long term expat opportunity offers extensive autonomy, technical variety, ad hoc domestic & international travel while working for a highly respected mining company on world-class assets. Residing in-country in a major centre, you'll typically work Monday to Friday with occasional site visits and intermittent international travel to Canada or Australia for group technical meetings. An attractive remuneration package comprising of USD base salary, housing and schooling (in Russian only), vehicle and travel are provided.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a tertiary qualified mining engineer with a strong background in underground hardrock mine planning (e.g. 4+ years mine planning experience in hardrock operations). Naturally, you will have demonstrated proficiency in mine planning software, e.g. Deswik, Surpac.
