This well-funded Nasdaq First North listed exploration company is now looking for an Exploration Manager to oversee all their exploration activities in Sweden, including greenfield programs and also managing and optimizing drill programs and geological investigations to help support the mine study at their newly acquired Copper project in far-North of Sweden.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director the Exploration Manager’s responsibilities/accountabilities will include the following:

  • Commitment to working safely, promotion of safe working practices with colleagues and contractors.
  • Managing the definition, implementation and monitoring of the resource definition and exploration drill programs.
  • Managing the local exploration team
  • Managing the performance (including health and safety, drilling rate, drill accuracy and core recovery) of the drilling contractor
  • Lead the generation of conceptual geological models.
  • Generation/ wireframing of 3D lithological and structural models

As the ideal candidate, you will be a qualified geologist with extensive experience of setting up and managing remote and near-mine exploration programs and have strong exposure to VMS deposits. Experience in underground and/or open pit mining will also be highly regarded, as will a high level of proficiency in geological modelling / GIS software, data management and databases. You must also have familiarity in external reporting standards (PERC 2017 JORC 2012).

The role will be based residentially in a well-serviced and mining focused community in northern Sweden. Here you will be working from the company’s modern office and adjacent core shed. A large part of the role will see you working in the field closely managing the company’s drilling efforts and frequent regional travel should be expected.
