A major underground hardrock operation in East Coast Australia current seeks a Chief Mine Surveyor to join their technical team.

Leading the survey team, you will take accountability for the effective and efficient delivery of survey to the underground operation. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the database is updated with current survey data
  • Coordination of daily and long term survey requirements
  • Conduct regular inspections of the underground, particularly active areas
  • Maintain adequate data collection of rock mass conditions
  • Leadership of the survey team, including mentoring & training

This is a permanent role as a key technical leader at a major underground hardrock operation experiencing rapid growth and success. Residing in a major regional centre, operating on a Monday to Friday roster, this significant township offers great schooling, sporting, educational and health facilities. An attractive remuneration package including incentives is provided.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a tertiary qualified surveyor with a successful track record in Senior Mine Surveyor appointments within underground hardrock operations (e.g. 5+ years) coupled with demonstrated leadership competencies.
