A successful hardrock operation in Central NSW, currently undergoing substantial growth, seeks a Senior Environmental Advisor to join their team.

Reporting to the HSET Manager, as environmental champion, you will be responsible for the formulation, review, maintenance and implementation of environmental policies, standards and procedures. Key accountabilities will include:

  • Compiling, review and updating environmental reports.
  • Implementing auditing system for environmental compliance.
  • Undertaking environmental inspections including heritage structures, water storage ponds, etc.
  • Advising management on environmental responsibilities across Project Approvals, EPL and other statutory obligations.
  • Data collation for NGERS and internal reporting
  • Arrange external audits, consultants & contractors as required
  • Implement auditing systems for annual compliance reports
  • Monitoring of site dust, water and noise levels.
  • Liaising with government and community stakeholders

Residing in a NSW mining hub, you will operate on a Monday to Friday basis and enjoy a family friendly lifestyle including excellent sporting, education and medical facilities. Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified in environmental science with a strong background in environmental compliance and management within Aussie hardrock operations (e.g. 3+ years experience).
